"Another Church?"

Hey guys,

I wanted to follow-up and continue our conversation of last week on the decline of the "Relevant Church" in America today...We have made church difficult for people that come and I for one want to be about simplifying things in terms of what it takes for someone to feel comfortable in inviting unchurched friends, family, etc... This was one of our strategic messages that is important for any bridge member...Join in on the conversation and hope to see you guys this week as we start "Hello Love"...

Prayer Requests 12/28/08

Kristen - I pray that I get through high school.... no matter what.

Roz - Pray for Clyde that his surgery is successful. Pray for Lynn and Dustyn continue their sobriety.

Jeanie - Safe travel for Dave and Michelle. Comfort and healing to Leann. Healing to Uncle Clyde post surgery. Continued direction for The Bridge. That we may know you, God more intimately every day. Help us love one another more; listen and be with each other more sincerely.

Dianne - Pray for my sister and her new husband. Pray for my family. Thank you for allowing me to successfully bake my sister's wedding cake.

Aunt Mic - Please Lord help our church grow. Please pray for Fritz to find a steady job close to home and may he start selling his art work.

Rob - Thank you Father for a wonderful Christmas with our family. Thank you Lord for reconciliation. Pray for our son that will be leaving soon to go in the military. Pray for Jessi beginning nursing school soon. Pray for Lisa's health to improve.

Merry Christmas

I wanted to send everyone my best wishes for a blessed Christmas. We had an awesome day today with our family and the highlight was a birthday party w/ cake for Jesus. We had been planning this for a few weeks and it really impacted the mood of everyone here.

We just ended our 3 week series on The Purpose of Christmas with our Christmas Eve service last night. It was great to share this with all of you. I want to thank Rick Warren for following his calling to write such an insightful book. I hope that you all got to ruminate on the truth's contained in the messages and share some of that with your family and friends.

My prayer is that this year you will all be a part of what God is up to at The Bridge!

I hope to see you guys this Sunday and look forward to starting the new year with a great series called "Hello Love", inspired by a new and fresh cd from Chris Tomlin

Kristen - I pray that I will make it through High School especially on the science and social studies part remaining on the GEE.

Jeanie - Prayers for Uncle Clyde for healing. Comfort for family of Wilma Baitsell in her passing. Prayers for continued growth of The Bridge; guide our steps, our choices, help us to listen to others better and to you God. Open our hearts to you. Prayers for Lynnie, Sandy, Dustyn and Devyn. Rob and Lisa - Pray for a spirit of love, peace and reconciliation to rule in our lives this Christmas season. Thank you Jesus for your abundant grace and mercy that you continue to shower on us daily. Thank you for the blessing of our family. We pray for those that have yet to come to The Bridge. We pray that you stir their soul Lord to seek you this coming year and we pray that The Bridge can serve you by serving those that don't yet know you.

Mustang - Thank You Lord for my Bridge family. Please pray for my family for reconciliation/Peace. Father, open my children's hearts to your amazing love.

Dianne - Pray for my family. Help us to have a more spiritual new year. Pray for my son as he battles his issues. Help him seek guidance from God.

Jeanie - Prayers for healing & comfort to our New York family members.

Mimi - Prayers for "My Person" WooWoo who is battling breast cancer - Jobe who is 3 1/2 mos. sober - "E" who never fails me when I lose my way!

Dianne - I want to thank God for my blessings. I want to pray for my son - that he learns to be strong and talk about his hurts so he can heel. I pray that Sue will at least give church a try. Pray for financial blessings.

Becky - Dear Lord - please give us the strength and patience to live together and move into Leann's house.

Darlene - Pray for our continuing of open doors for our awesome Bridge Community Church and family. For my family to heal from any sickness, depression, for brighter happier days. I pray to have more family time with the family that loves us.

Jeanie - Prayers to grow the Bridge as God intends to fill His purpose. Help us listen and serve, his way, his time and full of his love.

Kristen - I pray to God that I will no matter what, PASS the math section of the GEE!

Leann - Please take care of my mother, let her heal and come home from the hospital before Christmas. Pray that Becky and I can adjust to living in the same trailer and hopefully soon - HOUSE. Pray that Becky can adjust to her new life and that she can live her life to the fullest.

Rob & Lisa- Thank you Lord for our awesome church family! Your timing and provision is perfect...We pray for every one of you who have felt the call to come onto the Bridge...Prayer for Izzy...recent memories of her abandonment and related emotions...Prayer for Ryan...moving forward in the Air national Guard, the strength and courage to finish well...Jessi...Prayer for starting nursing school and her new relationship...thank you Lord for recent financial blessings!

Rob- Prayer for a full and speedy recovery for Lisa...thank you Lord for giving me a best friend and life mate!!!

Our first service at the new venue!

Hey guys, I just wanted to say how awesome it felt to have our first Sunday service at the new venue this past week. I am humbled and excited at the support, encouragement and eagerness for serving that I am seeing from all of you. I hope you all continue to grow with us as we move toward the new year. Pray about your involvement in The Bridge as we will be forming Community Groups, Childcare, Hospitality, Assimilation, Worship and other teams in the very near future. Your ideas and input are valued, as well as your unique calling and giftings!

Please remember to carry the truth's behind The Purpose of Christmas to all of your sphere of influence as you Invest & Invite in their lives!

If you accidentally park in the front and enter that way, you may end up at Northshore Church (who also meets at the club) and that would be fine too.... they would love to have you.
