Becky - Dear Lord please bless all those we love. Help Rob & Lisa on their journey to bring Marianna home. Lord give me the strength to let go and let God. Allow me to do Your will not my own. Thank You God for allowing You in my life and living in Your word.
Leann - Thank You for all the prayers and for my healing. Thank You Lord for my successful surgery.

Prayer Requests 10/18/09
The Watkins - Please pray that the details would work out according to God's will with renting (or selling) our house. We have potential renters (maybe even a buyer) and pray that all would go according to God's plan.
Jeanie - Prayers for successful and transforming surgery for Leann this week and healing there after. Help with the garage sale on the 7th. Bring stuff on so we can make a chunk of change to bring Marianna home to us. Lord You can help us. Showing up in a mighty way. Christ be in us daily. Help us show others who You are.

Becky - Dear Lord, I ask these prayers for others, knowing You will do Your will. Please help Leann to grow and be happy and to recover swiftly from her hip surgery coming up on 10/22. Lord I thank You for helping me through my difficulties and the season of madness I go through. Bless my sister who has always been there for me. I love her with all my heart. Thank You Lord.

Katie - Brother is in Baghdad. Keep him safe until he returns in November. My step-grandmother recently had a stroke. She is doing ok right now. Keep her in prayer.
Becky - God I offer myself to Thee to build with me and to do with me as Thou wilt. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do Thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those I would help of Thy power, Thy love and Thy way of life. May I do thy will always.

Crystal - Please pray for my 81 year old friend in ICU who had fallen after being in the hospital for 12 days and was getting ready to come home and fell and shattered her femar and had to have emergency surgery. She is now in ICU and is very ill. Please pray.

Mustang - Father, thank You for my Bridge family and for the many blessings you provide in my life. Open my children's hearts to knowing You and what a loving Father and friend You are. Father please continue to bless my working situation and help me with discernment about it. Amen.

Jeanie - In celebration of my little brother's 50th birthday. Happy birthday Kev, I love you. Izzy's birthday. 4 years of goodness and blessings !

Jeanie - Prayers for those not with us today. Believers and unbelievers. Thanksgiving for God in our lives. For our families, children and loved ones.
Michelle - Prayers for Dave as he prepares to leave the Navy and begin a new career - for wisdom and discernment through the process. Prayers for me to continue to eat gluten free so that I can heal from Celiac Disease. For perseverance !!!
Lisa - Prayers for healing for my stomach. For Ryan - has his gas chamber exercise tomorrow. Lord help him get through it. Major PTL that Rye has "found" You again. Thank You Lord for answering our prayers. I pray for our church. Lord, I don't know what Your plan is. We want to be faithful. It's so discouraging when no one comes. Hey... Just wanted to share some pics with you guys from the Izzy's Dream Silent Art Auction...this was an amazing event! The vibe was perfect...from the lighting and interiors of the club lobby to the art and the jazz trio!

Thank you so much for coming out to our first Izzy's Dream Silent Art Auction. We appreciate you partnering with us to be a blessing to the children of Hidden Treasures Home. We had such an overwhelming amount of art donated that we plan to have another auction sometime in the fall.
We had a wonderful time, the art was outstanding, the music was incredible, the food was yummy and the company was awesome.
It was so nice to see our community come together for this project. To all the artists that donated to us, we could not have done this without you. Thank you for giving generously of your talents. To all of those that helped us set up, take down and run the event, thank you for giving generously of your time and to all of you that came to buy art and donate to this ministry, thank you for giving generously of your treasures. We are all called to help the orphans in this world and it's beautiful to see it all come together in such a way that brings glory to God. Blessings to you and your family,

Becky - Lord give me strength to do Your will, to do the next right thing. As we struggle please keep Your protective hand upon us. I pray for Leann to be happy, to have strength to move forward in her life. In Your name, thank You Jesus. Thank You Jesus.
Roz - Please pray for Mat Bertucci and Chase LeFabre's family who is grieving his death last week.
Nanny - Heavenly Father please help Uncle B to find You and help heal him, his body and soul.
Please keep all my family and loved ones happy, healthy and have peace in their hearts. Heavenly father, please send the Holy Spirit to help guide me to be a better Christian.

Allow the Holy Spirit to be here amongst us to make the most of all of our efforts thus far. We know this is all in Your name. Stay close please dear Lord. Make it seamless. Help Lisa heal, Chris in his recovery for brain surgery. Be with Granny Pat post her stroke and comfort families of loss - Tonya's and Maureens.

Jeanie - Prayers for families of Delores Jenkins and Maureen's father in their passing this week. Prayers for continued smooth week manifestation of our Izzy's Dream Silent Art Auction. Let us work together with joy and love. Knowing all glory is Yours Lord. All to benefit the children of Hidden Treasures Home. Please bless our work with Your magnificent love, spirit and power. Continued prayers for healing for Chris Gaudet, recovery from a stroke and brain surgery.

Mustang - Thank You father for bringing me home. Thank You for allowing me to spend time with my children and grandchildren. Thank You for new relationships. I ask Your blessing on them. Thank You for my Bridge family.

Lord I pray for favor with the CCAA and that we get our approval from China in record time !! Lord, I've seen the mountains that you've moved already and I know there are so many more to be moved in order for this to work out. I'm so grateful that You are in the mountain moving business :) Jesus, please help Ryan. He needs You. And some maturity. Lord, I pray that the military is exactly what he needs. I don't know what else to do for him. I know he's having growing pains and it's really hard to just step back and let him have them but I think that's what You want me to do. I don't know what else to do for him. I know he's having growing pains and it's really hard to just step back and let him have them but I think that's what You want me to do. Show me Lord how to parent him in a godly way. Thank You for my girlfriends and the bible study that we've just started. Lord continue to grow my faith. Be with my family and friends. Heal those that are sick Father. Prayers especially for Lynnie. And for my dad - soften his hard heart. I love my church - they are awesome Lord. Lord be with Izzy and continue a healing in her. Thank You for the amazing bonding that we've experienced already. I'm just crazy about You..... I love you Lord.

Michelle - Praises that Dave is coming home between May 17 and 19. Yay.... Prayers for Judy that the Lord would heal and protect her. Also that she would find a new job and a place to live.
Danielle - God, please bless Mrs. Mara and Mr. Edmund through this hard times. Please keep their hearts open and please bless them. Amen.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you a few things that are coming up and offer another way to remind you of what's going on at The Bridge.
April 19th - "How good is good enough?" Join us Sunday at 10 a.m.
April 26th - We are out of town doing a wedding on the beach in Florida. Our teams are net yet to a point of "running the show" without me (praying that we'll get there one day). So, The Bridge will not be meeting on April 26th. By all means if you want to attend church that Sunday, please visit our friends and Brother Larry at Northshore Church. They meet at the front of the club (enter in the front) at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m.

Jeanie - Pray for those that are not with us this morning, who are in spirit, love them well. Prayers for Leann, Becky, Sally, Dianne, Deb, Nikki and Stephen, Ray and Kirby, Jeremy, Fritz, Lisa, Izzy, Dave, Amanda and Julia. Prayers for Stephanie and Tasha regarding Chris' health condition. May God keep them all in his fold. Lynnie, Sandy, Dustyn and Devyn (save). Izzy's health and Dearest. Continued direction for Izzy's Dream.

THANK YOU LORD for such an awesome experience at the Beth Moore event. Thank You for speaking to me through her. Thank You for my great sisters in Christ that accompanied me. Bless them Lord. I pray for Ryan's upcoming departure to boot camp. Lord I pray that he calls on You in times of need. Be with Jessi and help her to start making better decisions for herself. Please let her come back to You. Pray for my sister's health. I pray that she recognizes that guilt and shame are not of You Lord, but of the enemy and I pray for complete healing in all those areas. Thank You for my family and my Bridge family. Be with all of those that haven't been with us lately. Lord, please send us the people we need to help serve in our church and send us the broken people that you need us to serve. Habakkuk (wrap-up)
Hey guys,
I wanted to check in with you all after the end of our 3 seek series on Habakkuk "When God Seems Unfair". I hope insight has come upon you as it has me. I have grown in my faith sharing these words with you all. I was wondering if some of you would share an "In The Dip" experience in your faith journey. I think there are people coming in to check out our church and I think hearing from a few of you would be helpful to them.

Prayer Requests 3/29/09
Jeanie - Continued prayers for Chris who has had 3 brain surgeries this week and his wife Steph. Prayers for Lynnie and Dustyn well being, God's love and directions. Prayers for a smooth surgery for Judy tomorrow for good healing, rest and renewed health. In God's name, for God's grace in Noah for calm, attentive and successful Leap testing.
Lauren - Dear God, please help me with my grades. I'm glad that I brought up my other grades, but I got so focused on those that now I'm not doing so well in the other subjects. I'm not going to let myself fail. I know I can do this but I need Your help. Amen.
Roz - Pray for Lynn she is sick and needs to be able to get medical treatment for her heart and liver disease. Pray for Dustyn to stay strong in the Lord.
Michelle - Praises that Dave is doing well on deployment - only two months to go. Prayers for my trip to Asia in April for safe travel and for all of the plans to come together for a port visit with Dave. Prayers for my dad, brother and sister to live their lives for Christ.
Dianne - Pray Jeremy does well on LEAP. Pray that Jeremy continues to heal emotionally and spiritually. Pray that Sue feels relief from her pain.
Kristen - I pray that I succeed on the Science/Social Studies part of the GEE.
Chad - I pray for employment.

Lauren - Dear God. I worked so hard last week and I think I did good. I know You're helping me through this. I still need help though. I have eight weeks left and that should be enough time to pull up my grades. I know in my heart I can do this. I did it before and I can do it again. Amen.
Judy - I am in dire need of a car as soon as possible.

Michelle - Continued prayer for Dave who is on deployment. Praise God that I get to visit him while he is in port in Asia at the end of April. Prayers for Judy to come to church. Prayers for Leann as she deals with significant pain issues.
Leann - Pray that Becky continues to heal. Pray that I can deal with my pain. Thank You for my Bridge family.
Nikki - Pray that my brother grows up to be the father that I know he can be.
Steven - Pray that I become a well educated man and find a stable, reliable, good paying job that can support a family. Also to learn to put priorities first even with family and then hopefully me and Nikki can become a family.

Amanda - Please pray that my family is restored and that I am able to deepen my faith during this time and continue to do so forever. Pray that God touches my husband's heart and that he finds faith as well.
Lisa - Dear Lord please hear the prayers of my Bridge Family and grow our faith during these difficult times. Thank You for my children and my family. Thank You Lord for our church and the blessing that they are to us. Be with Bobby as he tries to manage two jobs and leading our church. Be with Jessi Father and help her to make better choices for herself. Give Ryan patience as he waits to go to boot camp. I know that he's very anxious right now and ready to move on to the next season of his life. Please keep Bella healthy. I pray for all of those that struggle with addictions... Lord help Jason to hang on. Bring our Mustang back, we miss her.

Prayer Requests 3/8/09
Lauren - Dear God please help me pass this year. I know that I can't take the pain again of failing a school year. Please help me with my grades. Please help me to do better. Amen.
Jeanie - Prayers for support and God's hands to be with my at work (Judy) who is dealing with new found mouth cancer, tests and surgery. Please God make a significant difference in her with Your love, presence and healing. Help continue with our mission projects. Be with us on our walk.
Michelle - Prayers for Dave for perseverance during deployment. Prayers for my roommate Judy to come to church. Prayers for my younger brother for him to make good life choices and re-dedicate his life to Christ.
Becky - Oh Lord, please show me Your way. Give me strength and show me how to do Your will. Please bless all those that we love, a special prayer for Leann to ease her pain and get her surgery on her hip. Pray for my son Hoka to find his way and stay safe and get his life together.
Leann - Please ask God to deliver me from my pain. Pray that Becky continues to heal. Thank You for everything God has given me.
Roz - Pray for Lynn and Dustyn. Lynn to get healthy and for Dustyn to continue in recovery.

Help me to let anger and resentments fade away and let it be replaced with Your love for people that are sometimes unlovable. Especially for those that have hurt me to the point that I don't want to ever see them again. Lord please keep Izzy healthy and help Ryan and Jessi make wise choices for themselves. Still working on Site!
Hey guys,
We are getting close to finishing the site. I am really looking forward to communicating all that we do at The Bridge to a larger audience. The journey has just begun for our church. I feel very blessed to have the space we have and to know that I have a great core group surrounding me and Lisa as we step forward into the future.
I invite all of you to post on the state of where we are and to keep praying over your place on the bridge! And don't forget to keep investing and inviting!

Prayer Request 3/1/09
Dianne - Pray for my family, for school success, for Sue and for my car to not be too broken.
Aunt Mic - Please pray for Michelle and Dave and their desire to start a family.
Jeanie - Health and healing for our Bridge family members Izzy, Roz and Michelle. Thanksgiving for safe travel this past weekend and family time. Prayers for Sally in preparation for her work time away. Prepare our hearts this Lenten season to grow closer to you.
Izzy - I want to pray for Jesus and God and for the shepherds and the sheep and my mommy and my daddy and my family and my animals. And pray for my little Mei Mei.
Rob and Lisa - for our church to have big and bold faith in You Lord. To keep stepping out to do Your work. Help us to continue to walk towards Mary. We pray for discernment about which agency. Lord, please help us get Rob's work load under control. I pray for enough financial support from two jobs so that he doesn't have to continue the third job. Healing for Bella. Thank You Lord for my time homeschooling her. I'm loving every minute of it. Bless our women's ministry that is budding.

March 11th - The African Children’s Choir at Bethany Lutheran Church @ 7 p.m.
March 29th is the deadline to bring in your items for The Caring Center of Slidell. They currently have 8 families at the homeless shelter. They need women's clothing, children's clothing and household items.
April 3rd and 4th - The Bridge Ladies are going to see Beth Moore speak at The New Orleans Arena. If you are interested in coming with us go online at www.lifeway.com and get a ticket. They are all general admission. We'd love to have you join us.

What a great group of people that I get to gather with to worship You. Thank You that Leann is in her house. Yeah. !!! Continue to give Rob and I the faith we need to step out and to keep on stepping towards You. Safe travel for Mom and family to and from Disney. Let them have a great time. Lord give us discernment about Mary and our agency. Thank You Father for our daily bread. Thank You for my husband and my children. Help me to be a better wife and mother. Aunt Mic and Uncle Fritz - Please pray for Teresa Lyne. She is not getting better from her heart surgery. She's 45 years old and is failing fast. Please pray for her health to improve.
Nikki - Please pray for my uncle who's in the hospital. He is 86 years old and keeps passing out.
Jeanie - Prayers for those who have come but not yet returned to us. Especially prayers to Ray and Kirby, Lynne Sandy, Dustyn, Devyn, Scottie and Dakota. Thoughts and prayers to Debbie. Help her to feel your love and know that we are thinking of her.
Dianne - Pray for my son's healing, Sue's injury and a successful school semester for me.
Kristen - I pray that I do absolutely great on the GEE Science and Social Studies. I will make it !!!
Leann - That I may lose the weight that I need to get off for my hip surgery. Thanks for my speedy recovery for my knee surgery. Thanks for my Bridge family.

African Children's Choir
The African Children's Choir is going to be in Slidell on March 11th. They are performing at 7:00 p.m. at Bethany Lutheran Church (627 Gause Blvd. between 8th and 9th street). If you haven't seen them perform before, don't miss this. You will be blessed. I promise. Rob and I had the privilege of having three of the girls stay with us while they were in town. What an incredible experience. So, please join us. Admission is free.
Eva, Joyce and Ruth
These are the three sweeties that stole our hearts in 2004 and planted that seed of the plight of orphans in this world that ultimately led to our journey to Izzy. They had no idea how they impacted our lives.
The African Children's Choir is the ambassador for Africa's neediest and most vulnerable children. The choir shows the world that it's members, like the millions of abandoned and traumatized children in Africa, have beauty, dignity and unlimited potential.

Prayer Requests 2/8/09
Jeanie - Healing and forgiveness for our family. Thanksgiving of God's great love for us. Continued directions with The Bridge Community Church and family. Help us grow with people and purpose in God's name.
Ivana - My mother in law, Lors was diagnosed with lung cancer recently. It has been extremely difficult to treat.
Lauren - Dear God please help me with my grades. I need help. I'm scared. I try and I try but I can't do anything or get anything. Please help me.
Kurtis and Teresa Smith - As we go through the process of becoming missionaries with the World Mission Prayer League we ask for courage, faith, peace and our house to sell.
Michelle - Praises that Dave is doing great on deployment and is excited for his first port visit in a few weeks. Continued prayer for my roommate Judy to come to church. For my trip to Florida next weekend.
Lisa - Thank You Lord for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for loving me despite my iniquities. Thank You for my family. I pray for continued will and direction regarding Mary, wisdom and maturity for Rye and Jessi. I also pray that they grow closer to You. Thank You that Izzy's feeling better. Thank You Father for my Bridge family. Be with the Smiths as they transition out of Louisiana to Minnesota. Lord I will miss them so much. Thank You for their friendship. I'm grateful that we will spend eternity together. Lord, help Lauren to improve her grades. Please give my husband the continued courage to speak Your words every week. 5 things God uses to GROW your Faith
I want to ask everyone to look at their core relationships this week and see if there is someone that could really use a Faith Lift...if we get real about things we have to admit we could all use some enhancement in the Faith department. (is it me or is there some wacky connection to "lifts & enhancements") Seriously I hope to see you all this weekend as we start the 5 things that God uses to GROW your Faith!
Last week we did the series kickoff message talking about how God wants to blow up our faith and how he wants us to trust and have 100% confidence in him. The message centered around that point and at scripture showing the only time in the bible that Jesus was amazed at someones faith. We start this week and move through the series with:
Feb. 8th "Practical Teaching"
Feb. 15th "Providential Relationships"
Feb. 22nd "Private Disciplines"
Mar. 1st "Personal Ministry"
Mar. 8th "Pivotal Circumstances"

Mustang - Thank You Father for the success of our garage sale. You are so cool. Father, please open my children's hearts to Your awesome love. Thank You for your blessing in Chris & Beau. Keep my grandchildren close to you.
Jeanie - Healing to our friends and family who are recovering from surgery and illness. Lord, work into the hearts of those not with us regularly yet. We know you work in mysterious ways. Please help us in time to be real with others and very loving - any way.
Kristen - I pray that I make it through high school and actually hold that diploma in my hands.
Roz - pray for my friend Beth at work who is in the hospital and for Gwen Melancon's family because Gwen went to heaven last Sunday to be Jesus.

Roz - pray for my friend Beth at work who is in the hospital and for Gwen Melancon's family because Gwen went to heaven last Sunday to be Jesus.
Michelle - Continued prayers for Dave while on deployment - specifically for more Christian fellowship and endurance in the work that he is doing. For my roommate, Judy, to come to church and rededicate her life to Christ.
Lauren - Dear God, please help me with my grades. I don't want to fail. Please give me the strength and power to pass this year with flying colors. Please. Amen.
Lisa - healing for Rob (upper respiratory infection), healing for Leann (surgery on knee). Thank You Lord that Izzy is recovering from bronchitis. Thank You for the outcome of the garage sale. PTL. Thank You Father for Mary's test results. Please give us confirmation if this is Your will and give us the Faith to step out if it is. Pray for Ryan for maturity and good judgement. Thank You that Jess found a place. Please help her to resolve her school/financial aid issues. Pray for Michelle during her time of Dave's deployment and for Dave's safety while serving. For our friend Greg Bounds that leaves Thursday to visit orphans in Africa and for Alyssa that leaves tomorrow to go to China to serve at Hidden Treasures. Prayers for all of the children at Hidden Treasures, for their forever families waiting to find them. Prayers for Ohana Pier - that Your will be known to each and everyone involved Lord. Thank You for Your fundraising that will bring this project to fruition.
Hidden Treasures.....
Thanks to all of you that donated items and came out to help with the garage sale. We had an awesome day of fellowship with each other and enjoyed meeting some great people in our community. It was really cool to watch people find their Hidden Treasures at our garage sale. It was nothing short of miraculous that by 1:00 p.m. there wasn't a single item left in our driveway. We were able to raise $645 for Hidden Treasures Home in China. Isn't that incredible? That's about $4800 in China. Thanks again for your prayers and support for this ministry that is so near and dear to our heart.

Leann - Pray that my mom continues to get better. Please watch the surgeons hands on Thursday and that this surgery relieves some of my pain. Pray that Becky adjusts to her new life.
Michelle - Please pray for God's protection for Dave as he gets underway on a 6 month deployment with the Navy.
Dianne - Pray that I do well in school. Pray for my son and his struggles.

Wrap-up for Hello Love
Hey guys,
I have to share with everyone how awesome it is to be called to lead this group of people called The Bridge Community Church. This has been my prayer to God...to be in a positioned in our church to reach the unchurched and to provide relevant ministry for all who come. I don't know why but today just seemed to be one of the highlights in my ministry career. I think it is all of you that make that happen. I just sense a great desire from all of you to be in relationship with God and to discover His purpose in your lives. This message series has brought me back to some of the basics of God's story. When we simplify things and keep the destination in clear sight great things will happen. I truly believe this year will be a year of great growth and spiritual maturity for all of us. I'm just glad to be on this journey with you all.
We are talking daily about what is next for us at The Bridge and we will be sharing a few ideas and goals in the next weeks. Stay tuned for the next big series!

Prayer Requests 1/11/09
Kristen - I pray that our trip to Disney World will be a safe one. May God be with us on our journey.
Lauren - Dear God, please let me know that I mean something. Like, will I make a big difference in this world. I'm starting to feel like a mistake because so many things are wrong with me. I need an answer. Fast. I just need to know. Amen.
Mustang - Clay, Elaine and their family on the loss of their son Brian. Father, please send your Holy Spirit to comfort them. Also, bless Dave and Michelle as they deal with Dave's deployment.
Aunt Mic - Please pray for my future father in law, Julius Helfritsh, whose body is failing.
Jeanie - Prayers for Clay & Elaine - comfort in the loss of their son. Prayers for Ryan - good choices in the future. Prayers for those who are not here today. Prayers for Bobby (Rob) for guidance, direction and God's insight to lead our church.
Rob - Prayers for The Gay family during this time after the loss of their son. For all of the children at Hidden Treasures especially Mary and her test results. For all orphans around the world that they be connected to their forever families. For Lisa to continue her journey in wellness and to develop a ministry environment for women.
Lisa - Prayers for Isabella to feel better soon. For Ryan to make good choices and stay focused on the path that the Lord is leading him down. For Jessi and James to make a good decision in where they will choose to live. Thank you Lord for Nini and Rye's birthdays. I still can't believe I have a 18 year old. Thank You for the last 18 years with him.... I pray for Clay and Elaine. My heart breaks for them Lord. Be with Michelle and Dave especially while they are apart from one another and let Dave return home safely. Lord, heal Sally from her illness. I pray she feels better soon. Good results from my ultrasound and good results from Malma's ultrasound too. Father, continue to lift up Bobby and not let him get discouraged.

Lisa - Thank You Lord for our Bridge family. They are awesome. Thank You for Bella - she has brought me so much joy. Be with Ryan as he goes through his current trials. I pray that he comes to know you better and learns to appreciate what he has. Thank You Lord for James being in Jessi's life. Please anoint their relationship and may you be in the center of it. Thank you Lord for my husband and that He is a man that loves You. Lord, I pray for my family members that are absent from my life right now. I pray that some day I stop feeling like life is better without them in it and at the same time allow me to keep boundaries in place to not be hurt by these people any longer. Thanks for a great birthday with my family....

Malma - Prayers for Jean and her family. For my incredible sons - May they always have You in their lives. My Lise and San who are the wind beneath their wings. All of my grandchildren - keep them safe.
